Common Questions
Everything you need to know before applying
Will checking my eligibility affect my credit score? ▼
No. We use a soft credit search to check eligibility, which is completely invisible to other lenders and has no impact whatsoever on your credit score. A hard search only occurs if you proceed with a full application directly with a lender.
Can I apply with bad credit? ▼
Yes. Several lenders on our panel specialise in applicants with poor or limited credit history. They assess affordability and income rather than relying solely on your credit score. Approval is never guaranteed, and you should only borrow what you can afford to repay.
How quickly will I receive the money? ▼
Most lenders transfer funds within 15 minutes to 1 hour of approval via Faster Payments. Some banks may take longer depending on their own processing schedule. Same-day transfers are available with most lenders on weekdays.
Are all lenders on this site FCA regulated? ▼
Yes. Every lender listed is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You can verify any lender at register.fca.org.uk. We are also a registered credit broker with the FCA.
What happens to my personal data? ▼
Your data is encrypted using 256-bit SSL and processed in accordance with GDPR. We share your details only with FCA-authorised lenders for the purpose of finding you a loan offer. We never sell your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
What is the maximum APR I could be charged? ▼
The maximum APR across our panel is 1,721%. Under FCA rules, lenders cannot charge more than 0.8% per day interest, and the total cost of a loan (including fees) cannot exceed 100% of the original loan amount. This means you will never repay more than double what you borrowed.
